Over the coming months, we’ll be introducing some of the businesses based at The Causeway and sharing the work that takes place across our community.

In this Tenant Spotlight, we’re meeting The Education Network, also known as EdNet. The Warrington-based education company works with tutors, learners, families and education providers across the region, helping children and young people to access tuition that reflects their individual circumstances.

The Education Network has worked within the education sector since 1993 and opened its Warrington office at St James Business Centre in 2010. Today, its team is based at The Causeway and provides specialist SEND tuition, Alternative Provision and one-to-one learning across Cheshire, Merseyside and the Wirral.

Helping learners to reconnect with education

EdNet works with children and young people who may be experiencing difficulties within the classroom or attending school regularly.

Its tutors provide personalised, in-person tuition that considers each learner’s needs, recent experiences and educational goals. This individual approach helps the team to look beyond immediate challenges and understand the person behind them.

The company works with specialist tutors and education professionals who have experience in SEND and social, emotional and mental health needs. Their day-to-day work includes matching learners with suitable tutors, coordinating tuition and maintaining close communication with the people involved in each placement.

Building long-term relationships across the region

The Education Network was founded with the aim of making education accessible to everybody.

Over more than three decades, the business has developed relationships with schools, education borough councils and teaching professionals. Its Warrington team continues this work locally, helping education providers to access experienced tutors while helping professionals to find rewarding opportunities.

The company’s longevity is a significant achievement. Its Warrington office has served the local area for 16 years, adapting its services as the needs of learners and education providers have developed.

A well-connected base at The Causeway

The Causeway gives The Education Network a professional base in Warrington, located close to the town centre and key transport connections.

The location allows the team to coordinate its work across Cheshire, Merseyside and the Wirral while remaining part of the local business community. Its office also provides a consistent point of contact for tutors, education providers and families working with the company.

Being based alongside other organisations creates opportunities for local connections and gives the team access to shared facilities within the building.

Meet the Warrington team

The Warrington team includes professionals working across tuition services, recruitment and coordination.

Recruitment Executive Alexis Bird works alongside colleagues to connect experienced education professionals with suitable opportunities. The team takes the time to understand each tutor’s circumstances and experience, helping EdNet to create effective working relationships that benefit tutors and learners.

This personal approach remains central to the company’s work. Each learner has different requirements, so the team focuses on creating tuition arrangements that reflect the learner’s needs and educational goals.

Continuing The Education Network’s work from Warrington

The Education Network continues to provide specialist tuition and Alternative Provision for learners across the region from its home at The Causeway.

Its work demonstrates the valuable role that local businesses can play within their wider communities. By bringing tutors, education providers and learners together, the EdNet team helps more children and young people to access personalised education.
